Exhibition Opening on the 80th Anniversary of Julius Leber’s Death

On 5 January 2025, the 80th anniversary of Julius Leber’s death was commemorated. Leber, a resistance fighter from the Baden-Alsace border region, was honoured for his legacy. A German-French exhibition pays tribute to his tenure as an SPD Reichstag member and his courageous role in the German resistance.

The Julius-Leber-Schule in Breisach engages with its namesake through a Storyboard-Telling Workshop. Julius Leber, born in nearby Biesheim in Alsace and a former student in Breisach, was a German SPD politician, member of the Reichstag, and a resistance fighter against the Nazi regime.
